ADMIRAL SHADES
The project to assemble an Admiral Color Guide started almost ten years ago.
Don Parnell, the late Deirdre Mackay, and I were able to assemble representative samples of the
various shades; but we were unable to publish a guide at any sort of reasonable cost.
This online color guide is dedicated to the memory of Dierdre Mackay, a great lathework collector.
Color reproduction is a very difficult subject.
The following scans have been done on a top of the line photo scanner,
designed for the digitalization of color photos by professional photographers.
The colors are still not perfect but hopefully they are close enough to be of use.
